The cities are easily one of the most recognizable improvements from Assassin’s Creed 1; Florence, Venice, San Gimignano, Forli are all so much better made than Damascus, Acre or even Jerusalem. The cities look, feel and sound amazing. If nothing else, Assassin’s Creed II deserves a high place on any list of the series’ best games for its absolutely ridiculous and unintentionally hilarious final boss battle: a fist fight This might be an unpopular opinion but I preferred AC Odyssey over AC Valhalla. Both these games are pretty weak Assassin games though IMO. Agreed, both games feel very bloated but I did get bored faster with Valhalla than Odyssey. This could also be because I wasn't very interested in Vikings and I did have some interest in Greek mythology. 2 is more refined, and a great game, and 1 is great if you are a fan of the series. I would recommend both. #5 mblaze Dec 12, 2014 @ 5:56pm 2 has better gameplay mechanics but the first one is much more climactic. I prefer the first AC. #6 Taiwan Number One Dec 12, 2014 @ 8:24pm I would say AC2, but the boring villians really drag it down. Ezio is often considered the Assassin’s Creed series’ best protagonist alongside Kassandra from Odyssey, but this level of praise may be overrating Ezio. He is certainly a strong lead - his growth from the cocky young man of Assassin's Creed 2 to the Mentor of Assassin's Creed Revelations is one of the highlights of the franchise. Assassin creed odyssey I found more fun and better controls, it had a bigger open world, i think it has more content, you have choice that give it more replay value. But it has flaws too like the story is ok, same for the voice acting, there is a in game store, the wrighting is ok, it becomes grindy, and leveling up can be a pain. The Legend of Zelda has always taken a magical approach to this quality, which can be seen as a more fantastical setting for an Assassin’s Creed map. Tears of the Kingdom has some of the best exploration the series has offered, matched with unique gameplay mechanics that are unlike anything else. As a video game: 7/10. 5. Assassin's Creed II. Boy this game would be number 1 if only it was 6-8 hours shorter, the entire game all I could think of is how much this game is a 10 out of 10 until I reached the point where the game needlessly makes Ezio lose the Apple to obviously extend play time. Odyssey. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey features an expanded and enhanced gameplay system, that builds upon the foundations of Origins, and adds more RPG elements, such as dialogue choices, branching quests, multiple endings, and romance options. The game also features a refined combat system, that is more fluid, varied, and customizable than Origins. oGFI.
