Warcraft 3 seems like a fun RTS that I want to try out, but I have heard terrible things about Reforged, and that combined with all the all but proven accusations going on at Activision Blizzard make me extremely hesitant to buy it. My question is: does Reforged still provide the original Warcraft 3 experience for those who never played it?
An update is going out for Warcraft III: Reforged today to address some bugs, including issues rendering Classic mode and multiboards crashing custom games. In the Message from the Developers letter posted earlier this week, Blizzard addressed some of the bugs and promised a bug fix patch we're not seeing today. Some issues, like missing clans
It’s embarrassing that we’re stuck with the same AI from 2003 in a “reforged” version of the game. Sometimes one wants to relax or practice by playing against the computer, but the AI is simply braindead. What we got is what we got as a result. Reforged is OK for single players, howecer it lacks so many features in multiplayer. Wasn’t most of the Warcraft 3 fanbase single-player fans anyway? Not really, multiplayer was quite popular from day 1, with ladder and tournaments being at the forefront.
good. Reforged is an uninspiring remaster, but Warcraft 3 itself is still a great game nearly two decades later. Warcraft 3: Reforged met with lukewarm reviews last year, and an internal
About a week ago, patch 1.33 released for Warcraft 3 Reforged. That patch was supposed to finally bring ranked play, leaderboards, and player profiles - all features that the original Warcraft 3 had but Reforged lacked when it launched in January 2020. Patch Notes. The "new" features, however, aren't exactly working as expected:
